Basketball Recap: Panorama Starts Season with Win on the Road

Panorama had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology Griffins 51-22 on Friday. This was payback for the Pythons, who suffered a 56-25 loss the last time these two teams met.

Leading Panorama to victory were Valery Quezada and Yadhira Hermenegildo. Quezada went 10-for-25 en route to 21 points and six boards, while Hermenegildo dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 rebounds. Hermenegildo has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Rhod Sianell Guste, who posted seven points.

Coming up, Panorama will welcome Sun Valley Magnet at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Stern at 3:30 p.m. on December 2.
