Basketball Recap: Capistrano Valley Christian Takes a Loss

On Thursday, the Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles didn't have quite enough to beat The Webb Schools Gauls and fell 27-25.

It was another big night for Pristine Thomas, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards for The Webb Schools. Thomas has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 17 times she's played. Christina Young was another key player, putting up nine points and seven rebounds.

Capistrano Valley Christian's defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-6. As for The Webb Schools, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-10.

Capistrano Valley Christian has already played their next contest (against San Gabriel Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. The Webb Schools won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Newport Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Newport Christian will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something The Webb Schools surely won't give up without a fight.
