Softball Recap: New Lima Wins Going Away Against Haileyville

The New Lima Falcons got the win against the Haileyville Warriors on Thursday by a conclusive 9-1. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by eight runs or more this season.

New Lima is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Haileyville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.

Looking ahead, New Lima will look to defend their home field on Friday against Pittsburg at 4:00 p.m. As for Haileyville, they have already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Heavener on the 18th.
