Soccer Recap: Northwood Comes Up Short

Northwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Rosary Academy Royals. While losing is never fun, the Timberwolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 713th, while the Royals are ranked 120th).

Northwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8-1. As for Rosary Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Laguna Beach the next time they take the pitch. Rosary Academy will host Laguna Beach at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while Northwood will head out to face them at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
