Softball Recap: Poudre Comes Up Short at Home Against Loveland

Poudre unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Loveland Red Wolves on Thursday, falling 19-2. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 24 in a row.

Kirsten Bennett made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run.

Loveland has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Poudre will be taking part in a tournament against Rangeview at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Loveland, they will face off against Longmont at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
