Basketball Game Preview: El Segundo Eagles vs. Palos Verdes Sea Kings

El Segundo and Palos Verdes are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2017, but not for long. The El Segundo Eagles will square off against the Palos Verdes Sea Kings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

El Segundo took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They snuck past Wiseburn- Da Vinci with a 52-46 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Palos Verdes posted their biggest win since December 10, 2024 on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Wiseburn- Da Vinci as Palos Verdes made off with a 54-31 victory. The Sea Kings pushed the score to 43-22 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wolves had little chance of recovering from.

El Segundo's record is now 17-8. As for Palos Verdes, their record now sits at 15-8.

El Segundo ended up a good deal behind Palos Verdes in their previous meeting two weeks ago, losing 47-28. Can El Segundo avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
