Softball Recap: Woodward Academy Comes Up Short

Woodward Academy and Milton squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Woodward Academy had to settle for second. They lost 9-0 to the Eagles. The War Eagles were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but the Eagles' pitchers proved too tough.

Woodward Academy moved to 11-11 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Milton, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Eagles beat Woodward Academy by a score of 16-3 later that day.
