Los Molinos is 9-1 against CORE Butte since December of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Los Molinos Bulldogs will face off against the CORE Butte Lynx at 5:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Los Molinos came up short against Central Valley and fell 57-44.

Los Molinos might have lost, but man, Natalie Martinez was a machine: she posted 24 points. That was a full 54.5% of Los Molinos' points, marking the eighth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Mckenna Mischelle, who earned nine points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask CORE Butte). They blew past Paradise Adventist Academy 52-28 on Wednesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Lynx as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Los Molinos has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season. As for CORE Butte, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-9.

Los Molinos didn't have too much breathing room in their game against CORE Butte when the teams last played on January 14th, but they still walked away with a 40-36 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Los Molinos since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
