Soccer Recap: Mathews Comes Up Short

Mathews was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Lordstown Red Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Lordstown this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 back in August.

Mathews' defeat dropped their record down to 0-12-1. As for Lordstown, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8-3.

Mathews has already played their next matchup, a 3-3 draw against Heartland Christian on the 9th. As for Lordstown, they will face off against Oberlin at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
