Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lamar County). They put the hurt on the Taylor County Vikings with a sharp 21-9 victory on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won seven in a row.

The victory got Lamar County back to even at 5-5. As for Taylor County, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-4.

Looking ahead, Lamar County will face off against McNair at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. McNair will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Lamar County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Taylor County, they will square off against Webster County at 7:00 a.m. on Friday. This will be Taylor County's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
