Venice has gone a perfect 9-0 against University recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Venice Gondoliers will take on the University Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. Venice will be strutting in after a win while University will be coming in after a loss.

Venice will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Friday, then bounced right back against Los Angeles CES on Monday. Venice was the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over Los Angeles CES. The Gondoliers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, University fell victim to Palisades and their airtight defense on Monday. They lost 6-0 to the Dolphins. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 880th, while the Dolphins are ranked 61st).

University has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Venice, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5.

Everything went Venice's way against University when the teams last played back in January, as Venice made off with an 8-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Venice since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
