Basketball Recap: Perry Central Takes a Loss

Perry Central played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Lanesville Eagles, falling 59-34. The loss continues a trend for the Commodores in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost eight in a row.

Hadley Crosier was her usual excellent self, going 10 of 15 on her way to 25 points in addition to six assists and four steals for Lanesville. The matchup was Crosier's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Shelby Allen, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 18 rebounds.

Perry Central's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Lanesville, they pushed their record up to 16-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Perry Central and Lanesville should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. Perry Central will take on Pike Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 176 places (165 vs. 341). Meanwhile, Lanesville (ranked 46th) will meet Scottsburg (ranked 148th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
