Football Recap: Paul Huff's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Frederick over Urbana + How To Watch

After flying high against Tuscarora last Friday, Frederick came back down to earth. The Cadets took a 44-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Urbana Hawks on Friday. The Cadets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Frederick lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Paul Huff, who picked up 129 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 39 yards and one TD. Ronte Faunteroy also helped with two scores in total.

Joshua White had a dynamite game For Urbana., rushing for 56 yards and a pair of TDs, while also throwing for 115 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Chase Kramer, who rushed for 91 yards and one score on only nine carries.

Frederick's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-4. As for Urbana, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frederick will head out to take on Oakdale at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Urbana, they will venture away from home to challenge Tuscarora at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks will be up against the Titans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.86 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
