Softball Recap: Battle Mountain Huskies vs. Moffat County Bulldogs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rifle, Battle Mountain was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with an 18-13 victory over the Moffat County Bulldogs. The high-scoring effort was just what the Huskies needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Harper Jimenez Anders was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Ellie Rella, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

Battle Mountain now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Moffat County, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Battle Mountain will be playing in front of their home fans against Conifer at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Moffat County, they will take on Rocky Mountain at 11:00 a.m. on September 5.
