Softball Recap: Battle Mountain Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Battle Mountain, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against the Moffat County Bulldogs by a score of 18-13 on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Huskies needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Battle Mountain got a massive performance out of Harper Jimenez Anders, who went 4-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Ellie Rella, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

Battle Mountain was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Moffat County only posted a batting average of .350.

Battle Mountain now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Moffat County, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Battle Mountain has already played their next match (against Adams City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Moffat County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 24-1 victory against Lincoln on the 29th.
