Basketball Recap: Torrance Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

After flying high against El Segundo last Tuesday, Torrance came back down to earth. The Torrance Tartars took a 57-43 bruising from the South Spartans on Tuesday. The Tartars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Spartans earlier this season, when they won 49-46.

Torrance's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-11. As for South, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-9.

Torrance and South should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Torrance (ranked 212th) will meet Wiseburn- Da Vinci (ranked 792nd) at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Torrance is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Similarly, South will challenge Cerritos at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday up 299 places (134 vs. 433).
