Football Game Preview: Southeast of Saline Trojans vs. Nemaha Central Thunder + How To Watch

Two dominant backs in Grady Gebhardt and Carter Hajek are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Southeast of Saline Trojans will face off against the Nemaha Central Thunder at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Southeast of Saline 9.4, Nemaha Central 12.6) so any points scored will be well earned.

Southeast of Saline is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 22-12 victory over Hoisington. The 22-point effort marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, Nemaha Central strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Osage City, sneaking past 22-19.

Southeast of Saline's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Nemaha Central, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 12-0.

Saturday's contest might be decided on the ground. Southeast of Saline has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 269.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Nemaha Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 244.6 rushing yards. There's a good chance Saturday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Southeast of Saline beat Nemaha Central 36-28 in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Hajek, who rushed for 234 yards and two scores, and also threw for 117 yards and a pair of TDs. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Trojans still be able to contain Hajek? There's only one way to find out.
