Baseball Recap: Roosevelt Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Roosevelt couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Canon City Tigers on Saturday.

Roosevelt saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Unruh, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 22-3. As for Canon City, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season.

Roosevelt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Canon City, they will take on Falcon at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tigers 3.4, the Falcons 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
