Soccer Game Preview: Tri-Valley vs. Dover

The Tri-Valley Scotties will head out on the road to take on the Dover Crimson Tornadoes at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Tri-Valley took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Coshocton a 2-0 shutout. Tri-Valley haven't had any issues with Coshocton recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Wednesday Dover sidestepped West Branch for a 2-1 win.

Tri-Valley's victory bumped their record up to 7-8-2. As for Dover, their win bumped their record up to 11-5-1.

Tri-Valley skirted past Dover 1-0 when the teams last played back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Scotties since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
