Football Game Preview: Eustis Panthers vs. Tavares Bulldogs

For the first time this season, Eustis will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will welcome the Tavares Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Eustis hasn't scored more than 12 points for five games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

It was a proper cat-fight when Eustis took on Foundation Academy on Friday. The Panthers lost to the Lions on the road by a 26-7 margin.

Meanwhile, Tavares lost 35-14 to The Villages Charter on Friday. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Bulldogs, who until this matchup were averaging 14.5 points allowed.

Eustis will have to keep a close watch on Khairi Coleman and Tamauri Collins, a pair of players who had a big impact on Tavares' prior game. Coleman threw for 166 yards and one TD, while Collins rushed for 104 yards on only 12 carries.

Eustis' defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Tavares, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
