Winthrop and Spruce Mountain are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Ramblers will be playing at home against the Phoenix at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Spruce Mountain took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Winthrop, who comes in off a win.

Winthrop proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by ten) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Mount Abram 6-5. The Ramblers haven't had any issues with the Roadrunners recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Winthrop let Brody Adams and Carter Rand run wild. Adams went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI, while Rand went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was Adams' first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ross Ficthorn, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Winthrop lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Spruce Mountain came up short against Traip on Monday and fell 7-3. The Phoenix have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Spruce Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Winthrop, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-6.

Winthrop was able to grind out a solid win over Spruce Mountain in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, winning 9-5. Do the Ramblers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Phoenix turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
