Baseball Recap: Epping Takes a Loss

Nute hit Epping with a five-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Rams by a score of 11-10. The Blue Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rams earlier this season, when they won 13-3.

Logan Abbott stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. William Ciriello was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

Epping's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Nute, they pushed their record up to 7-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
