Football Game Preview: Marco Island Academy Rays vs. Babcock Trailblazers

The Marco Island Academy Rays will head out on the road to challenge the Babcock Trailblazers at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Marco Island Academy will be strutting in after a win while Babcock will be coming in after a defeat.

Marco Island Academy took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against SmartEn Sports Academy, sneaking past 22-20. The Rays' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Babcock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Cambridge Christian 38-7. The Trailblazers were down 31-0 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Babcock's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Marco Island Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

Marco Island Academy couldn't quite get it done against Babcock when the teams last played back in September as they fell 13-6. Can the Rays avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
