Softball Game Preview: Wister Wildcats vs. Latta Panthers

The Wister Wildcats will head out to square off against the Latta Panthers at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday. Wister's pitching crew has only allowed 0.9 runs per game this season, so Latta's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Wister's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over Kiowa. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Cowboys recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Latta duked it out with Roff on Friday. The Panthers came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 6-1. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly five runs.

Wister's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Latta, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Wister might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Latta in their previous meeting back in August of 2019. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
