Recap: Hayfork Timberjacks vs. Tulelake Honkers
This season hasn't been kind to the Hayfork Timberjacks, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They suffered a rough 50-29 loss at the hands of Tulelake on Saturday. Hayfork has not had much luck with Tulelake recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Tulelake's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Makenzie Perez, who scored 9 points along with 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Another player making a difference was McKenna Fine, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds.
Hayfork's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Tulelake, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Hayfork will stay at home for another game and welcome Dunsmuir at 5:30 p.m. on December 12th. Hopefully Dunsmuir focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Wednesday. Tulelake is on the road again on Thursday and play against Fall River at 4:00 p.m. on December 14th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Fall River is ranked 602nd, while Tulelake is ranked 611th).
