Softball Recap: Yutan-Mead Sets Scoring Season-High Against Auburn

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Yutan-Mead). They put the hurt on the Auburn Bulldogs with a sharp 15-1 victory on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won three in a row.

Yutan-Mead got a massive performance out of Jordyn Campbell, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Woster, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Yutan-Mead always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. The last time their OBP was this high was back in October of 2024.

Yutan-Mead's record now sits at 19-6. As for Auburn, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-9.

Coming up, Yutan-Mead will take on Centennial in a tournament on Saturday. As for Auburn, they will be taking part in a tournament against Fort Calhoun at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pioneers have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
