Avondale had lost four straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 8-18-1 to make it five. They lost 12-3 to the North Farmington Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, with their most recent loss being a 1-0 defeat last Monday.
Avery Prentice made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. Gibson Arthur was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
As for North Farmington, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 23-15. They not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 17th (when they won 13-0).
On North Farmington's side, George Hall made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out ten batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts Hall has posted since back in April. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
In other pitching news, Nick White looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2025.
Back at the plate, North Farmington got a massive performance out of Kyle Pierce, who went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those three stolen bases gave Pierce a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jayden Glinz, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
Looking ahead, Avondale will venture away from home to take on Troy on Friday. North Farmington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
