Baseball Recap: Kennedy Find Success

Kennedy gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Hinkley Thunder. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Commanders.

Kennedy let Xavier Benavidez and Kalani Market run wild. Benavidez went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two doubles, while Market went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one double. Those two doubles gave Benavidez a new career-high. Dylan Nielsen was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs.

Kennedy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are 7-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Kennedy's win bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Hinkley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-16.

Kennedy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 16-1 defeat against Lincoln on the 9th. As for Hinkley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-0 loss against Prospect Ridge Academy on the 9th.
