Soccer Recap: Pinecrest Academy Beats Georgia-Cumberland Academy for Their Third Straight Win

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pinecrest Academy). They walked away with a 6-4 win over the Georgia-Cumberland Academy Jaguars on Friday. That's two games straight that the Paladins have won by exactly two goals.

Their offense was hitting Georgia-Cumberland Academy from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Matt Tollet led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

The victory was the third in a row for Pinecrest Academy, bringing their record for this year to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those three matches. As for Georgia-Cumberland Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Pinecrest Academy has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Johnson Ferry Christian Academy on the 24th. Georgia-Cumberland Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Collegedale Academy at 7:00 p.m. on March 3rd.
