Softball Recap: Cross Creek Comes Up Short

After flying high against Baldwin on Thursday, Cross Creek came back down to earth. The Razorbacks came up short against the Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets on Friday, falling 14-2. The Razorbacks were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but the Yellow Jackets' pitcher proved too tough.

Cross Creek saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Antria Hamilton, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Cross Creek moved to 4-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Southeast Bulloch, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Coming up, Cross Creek will square off against Lakeside at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.73 runs per game on average), something the Razorbacks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Southeast Bulloch, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-3 loss against Harlem on the 5th.
