Basketball Recap: Delta Charter Dragons vs. Vanguard College Prep Lions
Delta Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost to the Vanguard College Prep Lions on the road by a 37-18 margin. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-16 back in January.
Despite the defeat, Delta Charter saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Desiree Cabral posted two points along with 11 rebounds and three steals. Cabral is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games she's played. Nasiyah Mims was another key player, putting up six points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Even though they lost, Delta Charter smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Delta Charter's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Vanguard College Prep, their win ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-7.
