Bradford Prep was handed a three-set loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Christ the King Crusaders, sneaking past 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Bears: when they faced off against the Crusaders back in August, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

Bradford Prep took Christ the King into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17, 22-25, 23-25, 15-13.

Alden Schwartz paced Bradford Prep's offense, picking up 17 kills. Schwartz got some help from Bailey Clark and her 38 assists. Schwartz was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Christ the King's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Anna Cannon, who had 11 digs and three assists, and Anna Haynes, who had 12 kills and eight digs. Haynes has been hot for a while, having posted six or more kills the last 21 times she's played.

Bradford Prep has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Christ the King, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9.

Bradford Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Queen's Grant on the 26th. As for Christ the King, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Corvian Community on the 30th.
