Softball Recap: Bishop McGuinness Comes Up Short

Bishop McGuinness was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 12-7 to the Clinton Red Tornadoes. If the Fighting Irish were looking for revenge after losing 15-5 to the Red Tornadoes when the teams met back in September of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mya Madu - 2027 was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. Mila Breslin - 2029 was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Bishop McGuinness' defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Clinton, their victory ended an 11-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-2.

While Bishop McGuinness had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
