Basketball Recap: Magnolia Comes Up Short

Magnolia lost against Loara back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Magnolia Sentinels were beaten by the Loara Saxons 59-28. The contest marked the Sentinels' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

It was another big night for Sophia Rangel, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds for Loara. Rangel is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down 11 or more in the last 18 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Dulce Espinoza, who posted nine points along with six assists and six rebounds.

Magnolia's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Loara, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-15.

Magnolia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-42 victory against Century on the 3rd. Loara does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
