Softball Recap: Strasburg Wins Going Away Against the Classical Academy

Strasburg picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over The Classical Academy Titans. Considering the Indians have won 12 games by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Wynne Winter, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Alexis Thurmond, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.

Strasburg was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .476. They are 14-3 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Strasburg has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for The Classical Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 18-7.

As of now, neither Strasburg nor the Titans have any future games scheduled.
