Basketball Recap: Silver Valley Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Silver Valley won the last time they faced University Prep and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Silver Valley Trojans came out on top against the University Prep Jaguars by a score of 43-34. The victory was nothing new for the Trojans as they're now sitting on three straight.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Silver Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Naomi Durrah, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. That makes it 17 consecutive games in which Durrah has scored at least a third of Silver Valley's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Trotter, who posted eight points and five steals.

Silver Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 16 consecutive contests.

Silver Valley's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-4. As for University Prep, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 11-5 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Silver Valley will square off against Riverside Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for University Prep, they will take on Big Bear at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
