Athens proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 14) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Assumption Royals 6-5. The Bluejays haven't had any issues with the Royals recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Athens' win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Assumption, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Athens will be playing in front of their home fans against Medford at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Assumption, they will head out to challenge Weyauwega-Fremont at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
