After only two runs in their last game, Woodbury Central made sure to put some runs up on the board against Sioux City East on Friday. The Wildcats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Black Raiders, sneaking past 15-14. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The victory made it two in a row for Woodbury Central and bumps their season record up to 11-8. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Sioux City East, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-9.

Woodbury Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 11-1 win against IKM/Manning on the 28th. As for Sioux City East, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-7 defeat against West Lyon on the 28th.
