Cedar Valley's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Copper Hills Grizzlies 27-24. The Aviators' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Several Grizzlies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ethan Hill, who threw for 140 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 75 yards. Logan Batt was in the mix as well, providing Copper Hills with two scores.

Cedar Valley's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Copper Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Cedar Valley is set to face off against their familiar foe Bingham at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Copper Hills will take on rival Westlake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
