Baseball Recap: Win-E-Mac Comes Up Short

Badger/Greenbush-Middle River hit Win-E-Mac with a five-run first inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Patriots took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gators. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Gators apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Cooper Gieseke was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits.

On the hitting side, Nick Schow made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs. Another player making a difference was Owen Strom, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Win-E-Mac's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Badger/Greenbush-Middle River, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-13 record this season.

Win-E-Mac does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Badger/Greenbush-Middle River, they will face off against Roseau at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
