Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Berkeley). They were the clear victor by a 72-49 margin over the San Lorenzo Grizzlies on Thursday. With the Yellowjackets ahead 39-13 at the half, the match was all but over already.

San Lorenzo's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Destiny Finley, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Izzy Bolanos, who posted 19 points.

Berkeley's victory ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-15. As for San Lorenzo, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Berkeley will venture away from home to face off against Hayward at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for San Lorenzo, they will head out on the road to square off against Mt. Eden at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
