Baseball Recap: Spencerville Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Spencerville can now relate to. They came up short against the Coldwater Cavaliers on Thursday, falling 9-0. If the Bearcats were looking for revenge after losing 11-1 to the Cavaliers when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Spencerville's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Coldwater, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That somehow still isn't as good as their 21-5 record this season.

Spencerville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Coldwater, they will face off against Margaretta at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cavaliers 3.3, the Polar Bears 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
