Football Recap: Zaiden Pratt and Corben Dallas Lead the Defense for Pinecrest Win

Pinecrest's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They secured a 21-16 W over the Union Pines Vikings. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Vikings are ranked 205th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Chris Najm was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 79 yards and two touchdowns.

Pinecrest didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Zaiden Pratt and Corben Dallas. Another thorn in Union Pines' side was Tanner Corwin, who picked up a sack and made 11 total tackles.

Union Pines lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Adrian Colon, who rushed for 111 yards.

Pinecrest has already played their next contest, a 13-10 win against Davie County on the 5th. As for Union Pines, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 34-7 victory against Eastern Randolph on the 5th.
