Football Game Preview: Mildred Eagles vs. Westwood Panthers

The Mildred Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Westwood Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Mildred put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They blew past Clarksville 41-18. The Eagles' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Mildred didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Cade Garrett and Barron Tatum. Garrett is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least six every time he's taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Westwood's game on Friday was all tied up 28-28 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They took down Freeman 42-28. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Panthers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 430th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 1128th).

Mildred's record is now 4-0. As for Westwood, their record now sits at an identical 4-0.
