Preview: Servite Friars vs. Warren Bears

The Servite Friars will be playing at home against the Warren Bears at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Servite has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Servite scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Mountain View 103-39 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Servite has managed all season.

It was another big night for Rj Chastang, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds. Chastang also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Jake Schutt was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Meanwhile, Warren had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past La Salle with a 48-43 win on Thursday. That 48-43 margin sets a new team best for Warren this season.

Warren's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Luis Perez, who scored nine points, and Ahmed Bah, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Perez has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jorge Mota, who scored seven points.

Servite pushed their record up to 4-1 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 87.7 points per game. As for Warren, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Keep an eye on the arc in Wednesday's matchup: Servite have been dynamite from deep this season, having drained 45.2% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Warren, though, as they've only made 25.4% of their threes per game this season. Given Servite's sizeable advantage in that area, Warren will need to find a way to close that gap. Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
