Kennedy can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 35-33 win over Central Valley Christian. The victory was just what Kennedy needed coming off of a 50-27 defeat in their prior game.
Kayzel Dela Cruz was the offensive standout of the matchup as she scored 15 points along with 4 steals. Valeria Payan was another key contributor, scoring 5 points along with 11 rebounds.
Mira Monte's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Kennedy, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.
