Preview: Clarion Area Bobcats vs. Cameron County Raiders
The Clarion Area Bobcats's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Cameron County Raiders at 1:00 p.m. on December 28th. Cameron County took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Clarion Area, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Clarion Area beat Clarion-Limestone 43-32. The victory was just what Clarion Area needed coming off of a 53-31 defeat in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Cameron County suffered a tough 50-26 defeat at the hands of Coudersport on Wednesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cameron County has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Cameron County had strong showings from Ava Hilfiger, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds, and Trinity Earle, who scored two points along with three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for her.
The victory got Clarion Area back to even at 4-4. As for Cameron County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
Clarion Area was able to grind out a solid win over Cameron County in their previous matchup back in February of 2015, winning 45-37. Will Clarion Area repeat their success, or does Cameron County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
