New West Charter had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They blew past the Foshay Wolverines 55-29. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Eagles have posted against the Wolverines since December 11, 2019.

New West Charter was led to victory by Brissia Cruz and Allison Jimenez. Cruz posted 17 points, while Jimenez had 12 points.

Despite the loss, Foshay still got an impressive performance from Kelis Jones, who put up 13 points. That was a full 44.8% of Foshay's points, marking the third time in a row she's scored more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jasmine Jauregui, who earned seven points.

New West Charter pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.7 points per game. As for Foshay, they moved to 7-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

New West Charter has already played their next match, a 46-29 win against Larchmont Charter on the 28th. As for Foshay, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-10 victory against Horace Mann UCLA Community on the 31st.
