Basketball Recap: Schuylkill Haven Extends Winning Streak to Three

Schuylkill Haven hadn't done well against Our Lady of Lourdes Regional recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes put the hurt on the Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Red Raiders with a sharp 49-28 victory. That's two games straight that the Hurricanes have won by exactly 21 points.

Schuylkill Haven found their leader in sophomore Mckenna Runkle, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Terefencko, who earned eight points.

The win was the third in a row for Schuylkill Haven, bringing their record for this year to 18-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points over those games. As for Our Lady of Lourdes Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6.
