Baseball Game Preview: Gunn Titans vs. Aragon Dons

The Gunn Titans are taking a road trip to take on the Aragon Dons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Gunn is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Gunn will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Saratoga on Thursday. The Titans blew past the Falcons 16-2. The Titans have beaten the Falcons the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Falcons has come to flipping the script.

Anders Lo was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Adrian Lee, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Gunn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Aragon, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Terra Nova on Thursday by a score of 2-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Dons have posted against the Tigers since March 11, 2017.

Aragon's record now sits at 11-5. As for Gunn, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Gunn couldn't quite finish off Aragon when the teams last played back in April of 2019 and fell 5-3. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
